About Florida Bulk Head
Built on contractor experience. Focused on Florida waterfronts. Florida Bulk Head is owned and operated by Barefoot Marine Construction, serving Northeast Florida directly and connecting waterfront owners elsewhere with qualified regional contractors.

What Florida Bulk Head is
Florida Bulk Head is a statewide educational resource about bulkheads, seawalls and shoreline protection, built by a working marine construction company. Our goal is simple: when a Florida waterfront owner has a question about the wall at the edge of their property, we want this to be the most useful, honest place to find the answer, and the easiest way to reach the right contractor.
Who owns and operates it
Florida Bulk Head is owned and operated by Barefoot Marine Construction, based at 10945 Patton Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32246. Barefoot performs bulkhead and seawall work directly in Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay, Flagler and Putnam counties. It does not have offices or crews elsewhere in Florida.
How we serve the rest of Florida
Outside Northeast Florida, we are building a network of independent, licensed marine contractors. When you send a project from another region, we review it and, if a participating contractor whose license we have verified is available for your area and scope, we connect you, with your consent. If no one is available, we say so. See the lead-sharing disclosure.
